The Teen Driving Sessions run during the school holidays, giving you the chance to drive a car. The day is shared with two other people, so you get to experience driving with passengers and you learn from each other. This is a lot more fun than just being told what to do by an Instructor, as you learn from your own experiences as well as from the others in the car. Of course an Instructor is in the car with you to help and guide you when you need it
We also run with more than one car, when numbers permit, so you can interact with at least one other vehicle, giving you a more realisitic driving experience
The sessions are run at Abbey Stadium, Swindon and the Devon Driver Centre, Westpoint, Devon. They both offer a variety of driving challenges.
The session will last for 7 hours. We will cover all aspects of driving, from moving off and stopping to all types of junctions, there will also be a variety of different reversing manoeuvres for you to try.

In addition you will also get to participate in a scavenger hunt, towards the end of the day. The questions are based on the Highway Code, a copy is on hand to help you with the answers. The Scavenger Hunt is a lot of fun as you navigate around the roads, trying to find the next question, whilst not getting lost
The main aim of the course is to have fun whilst learning to drive. At the same time we look at your responsibility, as the driver, to yourself as well as everyone else. This is why the day is run with 3 people in the car, to give you the necessary experience of driving with passengers.

We have exclusive use of Abbey Stadium in Swindon. The large site allows you to experience a variety of driving situations. From tight junctions through to faster sections, as well as a variety of reversing manouvres ranging in complexity, your driving will improve as you face new challenges.
The site boasts proper facilities, including a restaurant, that we can use. So you won't have to sit outside, under a gazebo, when it is wet and cold.

Devon Driver Centre is a unique site situated just outside Exeter. You will get the chance to drive on real roads with proper junctions, as well as gaining experience of Traffic Lights and Pedestrian Crossings. This is a fantastic facility to gain experience of driving before you turn 17.
The site boasts proper facilities, including a canteen, that we can use. So you won't have to sit outside, under a gazebo, when it is wet and cold.
